Some are regional, while other have an international scope. On this page you can read more about our international projects.

In addition to the projects where we cooperate with colleagues across Europe, we have several regional projects, within all our targeted sectors.

New projects

We are always interested in developing and participating in projects targeted at reducing greenhouse gas emissions within our targeted sectors. If you would like to cooperate on a new project opportunity, do not hesitate to contact us.

Our European projects

Interreg: Green Drive Region

Green Drive Region is an Interreg Sweden-Norway project with cooperating partners from Akershus and Hedmark in Norway and Värmland, Dalarna and Gävleborg in Sweden. The aim of this project is to contribute to a 10% fossil free transport sector in Inner Scandinavia by 2018, when the project ends. The project will provide capacity building and exchange of experiences on the development of fossil free vehicles and their infrastructure. It will also allow for wide testing of electrical, hydrogen and biofuel driven vehicles.

Kunnskapsbyen Lillestrøm is Norwegian project manager, while Region Värmland is project manager and Gävle-Dala Energy Agency project partner from the Swedish side. INEA manages the working package on electrical vehicles. Read more about the project here (in Norwegian).

Interreg: ecoINSIDE

ecoINSIDE is an Interreg Sweden-Norway project running from 2015 to 2018. A wide array of partners from Norway and Sweden represents a border-crossing cluster within environmental development. Target sectors of the project are solar energy and –systems, sustainable buildings and waste management and recycling.

Norwegian project management is handled by Kunnskapsparken Lillestrøm, while Tretorget AS is project manager for Hedmark County. INEA contributes on the working package of sustainable buildings. Read more about the project here (in Norwegian).

EEA Grants: Energy efficient sport hall in Jelgava, Latvia

INEA with assistance from NTNU (the Norwegian University of Science and Technology) cooperates with Jelgava municipality in Latvia on a project on sustainable buildings. The project runs until April 2016, and has received financing from the "National Climate Policy" programme under EEA grants.

INEA and NTNU will contribute with advise on energy management and renewable heating for a sports facility. This facility is part of a boarding school, which implements special elementary education programs. Read more about the project here (in Norwegian).

EEA Grants: Renewable heating in Lithuania

INEA is cooperating with several municipal administrations in Lithuania on capacity building and transfer of our experience with renewable energy heating and energy performance contracts (EPC). The project will run until April 2016. Read more about the project here (in Norwegian).

Interreg: GreenDrive

Between 2012 and 2013 INEA lead a project called "GreenDrive" together with partners Gävle-Dala Energy Agency and Region Värmland in Sweden. The project aimed at speeding up the introduction of electrical vehicles in Norwegian and Swedish municipalities.

The project received funding from the EU programme Interreg Norway-Sweden, Eidsiva Energi and Hedmark and Oppland County Councils. Read more about the project here (in Norwegian).

Cooperation between energy agencies

In the period 2010-2011, INEA together with Gävle-Dala Energy Agency and Region Värmland cooperated on this Interreg funded project. Its aim was to strengthen the activities on energy efficiency and renewable energy between the neighbouring regions Hedmark, Oppland, Värmland, Gävle og Dalarna.

This was done through exchange of experiences and increased cooperation between the energy agencies and professionals on both sides of the border. The project GreenDrive was one of the concrete results from this project.
